French Terry is defined as a light to mid weight fabric typically made from cotton fibers or cotton blends. The outside is flat like Jersey, but the inside is knitted with terry cloth loops.
This manner of knitting allows the exterior surface to retain a smooth surface and gives it a natural stretch.
